115,000 BTU pool heat pump GulfStream HE110RA
GulfStream is made in the USA and is an industry leader in Swimming Pool and Spa Heat Pump Water Heaters. Gulfstream is a family run company with over 30 years of experience in pool heating and has revolutionized the industry with its 2" full flow rifled tubing titanium heat exchanger. Titanium is impervious to corrosion, which means it will never corrode or wear out. This 115,000 BTU heatpump comes with one of the strongest warranties in the industry 2 years labor and conditional 10 year parts warranty and Lifetime Warranty on Heat Exchanger. All units undergo a rigorous quality assurance sequence prior to leaving the production line which includes helium leak testing, mass flow refrigerant charging, and a comprehensive final run test. All units feature an R410A Scroll Compressor, ultra quiet commercial grade fan motor, on board temperature control with diagnostics, and rust proof ABS cabinets designed for harsh UV environments. These Heat Pumps come ready for connection to solar panels and has the ability to isolate spa and swimming pool heating needs.
How Does It Work?
A pool heat pump works similar to an air conditioner, but in reverse. The process begins by transferring any available heat from the outside air into the Gulfstream heat pump unit. The four sided evaporator coil, or ribbed “fins” that wrap around the perimeter of the unit draw this heat from the outside air. This heat is then introduced to R410A liquid refrigerant and pushed through a compressor where it gets super heated. The heated refrigerant then passes through Gulfstreams exclusive rifled titanium heat exchanger. Your pool water then passes over the titanium tubing with a rushing, turbulating effect in the “tube in tube” configuration. ALL of the pool water is exposed to the super heated titanium tubing, which heats the pool water to your desired set point. It then flows back into your pool and you can begin enjoying and relaxing in your comfortable, heated pool.
What Size Heat Pump Do I Need?
As a rule of thumb, here are suggestions based on pool sizes under standard operating conditions. You cannot oversize a heat pump, we always recommend one size up. Many factors can affect this determination such as shade, elevations, desired set points, above ground or in ground pool, etc. We are here to help! Call us for a quote today 1-813-885-7999!
HE/HI110 – (Up to 15,000 gallons or 450 square feet)
HE/HI125 – (Up to 23,000 gallons or 650 square feet)
HE/HI150 – (Up to 27,000 gallons or 800 square feet)
Use of a pool cover will reduce heat losses by 50%.
When using heat pumps to heat a spa – we always suggest to go up a size since you cannot oversize a pool heat pump
