The Heat Pump I ordered from Budget was seriously damaged during shipment. Budget tried to convince me to keep the damaged unit and make it work. This was not acceptable to me. They told me I would have to file an insurance claim with the freight company to recoup my loss. In the meantime, Budget would not send me a replacement unit unless I paid for a second one. Since I needed the Heat Pump right away, I agreed to buy another one while the insurance claim was pending. I was told the order would be shipped in a day or 2. It turned out to be over 2 weeks before the new unit was shipped and over 3 weeks before I received it. During this time, all I got from Budget was excuses about the delays and promises that the unit would be shipped right away. Bottom line, when I placed my original order, communication and customer service were very good. But when I received a damaged unit, that changed. I felt like they no longer wanted to talk to me, and they did very little to help me.
