The HS1122 Series electrode steam humidifier 11.1-22.10 Steam GPD output works by heating water in a secure, internal cylinder to create steam and the system's fan circulates the humidified air throughout the house creating an ideal humidity setting utilizing the included humidistat for total indoor comfort. The HS Series steam humidifiers have a proprietary “auto-adaptive” routine that helps maximize steam output from the water it uses. Very little water is wasted compared to evaporative humidifiers where all water that enters the humidifier and doesn’t enter the air is wasted. The HS Series humidifiers do not rely on the temperature or flow rate of the air leaving the furnace to deliver the right amount of humidity to the home. This makes these humidifiers a better match for variable speed and modulating heating and cooling systems where air temperatures and flow rates tend to be lower than single stage systems.
