The Cuts-All Tool made my job to splice two duct board pieces together to lengthen the existing drop to accommodate a lower ceiling height much much easier than trying to wing with anything else.  
The only issue if you have 30+  year old duct board is the existing duct is a lot more difficult to cut into since it become spongy over time, but the tool still worked.
I would recommend if you need this tool, use this vendor as there were no issues with my tool or its delivery.

replacement for malco. This tool works good going to try the 1" ship lap cutters as well.
